9 useful tweaks in Windows Vista
From the latest operating system, Microsoft Windows Vista has a lot of bad press since its release. It is no secret that the operating system Vista is inflated, and requires much more memory than in previous times of Windows, but then again, the architecture is compatible with the memory of those updates to the largest.
The software as it is somewhat irritating that many users have complained, but most of these parameters can be changed to your own taste.
9 useful tweaks in Windows Vista:
1. Disable UAC
In the User Account Control security instructions can be a bit boring. To disable the security on the issue:
* Control Panel > User Account and Family Safety > Turn User Account Control Off or On.
Note: Disabling UAC, reducing the security equipment. If your computer is to inexperienced users, it would be a good idea for the UAC turned on.
2. Start Menu icons do not turn on the power system
You may have noticed that the power icon in the Start menu does not shut down the computer, but sends him to sleep.
Making changes, go to:
* Click Start> Type “CMD” (this opens a command prompt)> type “powercfg.cpl.1″ (and this will open the advanced settings of office)> click on the + next to the “Power Buttons and Lid” field > click on the + next to the “Start Menu and Buttons” field > change the setting from “Sleep” to “Shut Down”.
3. Disable USB Wake
USB devices can sometimes make your computer “wakes up” if you do not want too. This is because the Vista default configuration of the computer power they say that if the USB device is connected to which can be useful, but can be painful. To disable this see:
* Device Manager> find the device that you do not want your computer, right-click and select Properties> under the Power Management tab, uncheck the option “Use this device to a computer” box.
4. Click Disable sound
If you have speakers on your computer, click on the sound effect is heard every time you made a choice, you can be very annoying. To disable this:
* Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen> select Tones> scroll down and select “Start navigation”> in the drop-down menu “Sound”, select “No”.
5. Folder View Change
If the size of the icon view to come back later, you may find that the return to the original size. To change the size and type must be specified:
* Control Panel> Appearance and Personalization> Folder> View> down, and check “Remember each folder view” option.
Sometimes the installation folder may be damaged, if so, please click here:
* Start> type “Regedit”> Then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> Classes> Local Settings> Software> Microsoft> Windows> Shell> click on “pockets”, and select Edit> Delete> Yes, remove the key and BagMRU, then reboot.
To avoid problems in the future, to increase the cache folder to see:
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> Microsoft> Windows> Shell> double click “BagMRU size” select “Decimal” and make it 10000. This is more of RAM, but in future it is necessary to prevent memory loss.
6. You can not say what would happen if I Defrag
A small bar is located in the Windows XP option to defragment the hard disk has been removed in Vista. This means that you do not know how long it will need to defragment. Unfortunately, the only real solution is to use third-party applications, such as power defragmenter.
7. Removed desktop icons
If you accidentally deleted a useful desktop with Windows Vista makes it easy to get them back:
* Right-click anywhere on the desktop> select Settings> then click “Change Desktop Icons” on the left pane, under the task> check the box next to the icon you want to restore.
8. After disabling the automatic reboot in Windows Update
Once your computer has installed the latest update Windows, you are prompted to restart your computer. You can restart a delay of 10 minutes to four hours, but you can also disable it forever. To do this, see:
* Start> type “CMD”, rather than press-Enter, instead press Ctrl + Shift + Enter> Type net stop “Windows Update” to automatically restart.
9. Fast Registration
If concern for the safety and speed that you are the only person using your computer, this may be the idea of applying for a password. To do this, see:
* Start> panel type userpasswords2 ‘> then uncheck the box next to “Users need a username and password to use the equipment.”
For me the only real problem with Windows Vista compatibility with audio and audio-visual products and software. If you have no need for this kind of applications, and that these parameters should be fine with Vista.
