Free Web Hosting – Is There Such A Thing?

When it comes to web hosting, the cheaper is it – the better. No one wants to spend money on a redundant service such as this (one which earns no return for the company) – even though web hosting enables to functioning of a company website, which can ultimately be tremendously profitable.

So is there such a thing as free web hosting, or is it just a bit of a farce? The answer is that yes – cheap web hosting certainly does exist, but there are a number of catches to this.

The first catch is an obvious one. The company who provides you with the free space and bandwidth needs to recoup those costs somehow. Whether it be through advertising, or annoying pop-ups which are automatically triggered every time someone visits your website, the effect is the same – people will get angry, and probably won’t visit your site again in the future.

So, whilst free web hosting may seem like a cost efficient solution – the reality is that it’s not. It’s far better to employ the services of a cheap web host, whereby you pay a small amount of money each month – and are free of forced advertising or pop-ups.
