iPod donates 25% of The Road Accident

Technology News – iPod assessed contribute to the improvement of approximately 25 percent of accidents on highways in the territory of New South Wales, Australia. Many accidents on the highway are caused because people are too busy listening to music through Apple’s gadget output.

Concerns about the proliferation of accidents increased after the iPod recently, a pedestrian in New South Wales, killed by a passing ambulance on the highway Parramatta Road Mallet Street, Camperdown. Cause, the 46-year-old pedestrian was too busy using the iPod and did not see a passing ambulance.

MIS-Asia, Monday (06/09/2010) reports, these unfortunate events occur because of the iPod users do not hear an ambulance siren as a closed ear headsets.

Cases of death is one of six pedestrians hit by vehicles on the highway over the weekend. NSW Police recorded a pedestrian deaths increased by approximately 25 percent, from 44 cases of deaths to 53, for the same period last year.

Harold Scruby, Pedestrian Council of Australia representative, said that iPods and other gadgets has become the cause is not one moment of concentration on the road.

“Death by iPod is one of the new phenomenon, a growing concern is that presence-presence of these devices run at least have an impact on the increase in accidents on the highway,” said Scruby.

“Manufacturers of mobile devices to warn consumers of the risks faced when on the streets,” said Scruby.
