In smartphones ‘Facebook has become the top application’

Gadget News – Nielsen survey found if Facebook is the most widely application in Access in smart phones types of iPhone, iPod touch, Blackberry until Android phone though.

Quoted by the Telegraph, Wednesday (6/03/2010), this survey involving approximately 4200 people who claimed to have downloaded mobile applications into their phones within 30 days. Among the users iPhone or iPod Touch, as much as 58 percent of smartphone users have downloaded confessed Facebook into their devices.

This figure was followed by Google Maps with the number of downloads as much as 47 percent, the second most after the Facebook application. After Google, the weather forecast service is the third popular applications.

For business Blackberry, Facebook still dominate even with the number of downloads as much as 51 percent, followed by Google Maps for 34 percent and forecast service as much as 28 percent. Remaining percentages in this survey place applications ESPN sports channel as the most popular mobile application number four, nearly followed by the music application called Pandora.

The report also found that if the average number of applications installed into the Blackberry is only approximately 10 applications. If compared to the iPhone, the number of these applications is still very small. Section, the average iPhone user, the Nielsen data, has approximately 37 applications in these devices. Even for Android mobile phone users, on average, they save approximately 22 applications.

Known Nielsen, currently approximately 21 percent of Americans claimed to have had their own smartphones. This figure rose compared with last quarter which is only about 19 percent. that is, approximately 14 percent of cellular subscribers in the U.S. has been ascertained to download an application within 30 days.

Social networking, maps, weather forecasts and the music is kind of the most downloaded applications.
