Registry cleaning utilities are one of the most popular software products on the Internet. They’re often described as the one fix all solution to computer troubles, although they’re far from it, they can improve the performance of Windows® and your start up time if you select the right program.

Choosing the right program can be a challenge. There are hundreds of review and registry cleaner comparisons websites, but few seem to actually be testing the programs they’re rating. Rather their comparisons are based on each individual products features and possibly a once over of the free scan tool offered by most companies.

Using a comparison like that isn’t going to tell you much about how the program can actually stop computer problems and improve performance. The only way to find out how well a program is going to work is to actually use it.

Using Reviews and Comparisons as a Guide

Like I said, I wouldn’t place all my trust in a webmaster review or comparison website of registry cleaners. If you’re able to find a website that has some actual user comments about the programs then this would hold a little more weight in my books.

What you can do is use these websites as a guide for which programs you might want to try. Some of the most popular products I’ve seen on review sites are: Regcure, Registry Easy, Registry Fix and Registry Mechanic.

Probably any one of these programs would do a stand up job, how ever before you go ahead and just purchase the first one you come across spend a little time looking at their features. I’ve found that some registry repair programs offer some great add-on features like junk file cleaners, system optimizers, evidence erasers and start-up program management.

These special features can improve start-up time, erase personal info from your computer that viruses and adware often swipe and reduce file clutter.

Price, Guarantee and Free Scan

After a feature comparison I’d suggest comparing pricing and also the guarantee. Not ever registry cleaner offers a refund policy but I’d lean towards one that does. Why? No two computers are the same so the exact performance improvement you’ll get after running the program can’t be determined until you do it. If for some reason you’re not satisfied with the improvement you can always request a refund.

Once you’ve got it narrowed down to a couple of programs go a head and download their free scan utilities. These programs are generally a fully functional version of the registry cleaner without the ability to repair any errors found.

Take a look at the layout and interface, decide which one you like best. Run the free scan, how long does it take and how many errors were found. From this you can make your final decision about which program is best for you computer. And remember you’re only selecting from programs that offer a money back guarantee so if you’re not satisfied with the final results you can always ask for a refund.

From the latest operating system, Microsoft Windows Vista has a lot of bad press since its release. It is no secret that the operating system Vista is inflated, and requires much more memory than in previous times of Windows, but then again, the architecture is compatible with the memory of those updates to the largest.

The software as it is somewhat irritating that many users have complained, but most of these parameters can be changed to your own taste.
9 useful tweaks in Windows Vista:

1. Disable UAC

In the User Account Control security instructions can be a bit boring. To disable the security on the issue:

* Control Panel > User Account and Family Safety > Turn User Account Control Off or On.

Note: Disabling UAC, reducing the security equipment. If your computer is to inexperienced users, it would be a good idea for the UAC turned on.

2. Start Menu icons do not turn on the power system

You may have noticed that the power icon in the Start menu does not shut down the computer, but sends him to sleep.

Making changes, go to:

* Click Start> Type “CMD” (this opens a command prompt)> type “powercfg.cpl.1″ (and this will open the advanced settings of office)> click on the + next to the “Power Buttons and Lid” field > click on the + next to the “Start Menu and Buttons” field > change the setting from “Sleep” to “Shut Down”.

3. Disable USB Wake

USB devices can sometimes make your computer “wakes up” if you do not want too. This is because the Vista default configuration of the computer power they say that if the USB device is connected to which can be useful, but can be painful. To disable this see:

* Device Manager> find the device that you do not want your computer, right-click and select Properties> under the Power Management tab, uncheck the option “Use this device to a computer” box.

4. Click Disable sound

If you have speakers on your computer, click on the sound effect is heard every time you made a choice, you can be very annoying. To disable this:

* Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen> select Tones> scroll down and select “Start navigation”> in the drop-down menu “Sound”, select “No”.

5. Folder View Change

If the size of the icon view to come back later, you may find that the return to the original size. To change the size and type must be specified:

* Control Panel> Appearance and Personalization> Folder> View> down, and check “Remember each folder view” option.

Sometimes the installation folder may be damaged, if so, please click here:

* Start> type “Regedit”> Then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> Classes> Local Settings> Software> Microsoft> Windows> Shell> click on “pockets”, and select Edit> Delete> Yes, remove the key and BagMRU, then reboot.

To avoid problems in the future, to increase the cache folder to see:

* HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software> Microsoft> Windows> Shell> double click “BagMRU size” select “Decimal” and make it 10000. This is more of RAM, but in future it is necessary to prevent memory loss.

6. You can not say what would happen if I Defrag

A small bar is located in the Windows XP option to defragment the hard disk has been removed in Vista. This means that you do not know how long it will need to defragment. Unfortunately, the only real solution is to use third-party applications, such as power defragmenter.

7. Removed desktop icons

If you accidentally deleted a useful desktop with Windows Vista makes it easy to get them back:

* Right-click anywhere on the desktop> select Settings> then click “Change Desktop Icons” on the left pane, under the task> check the box next to the icon you want to restore.

8. After disabling the automatic reboot in Windows Update

Once your computer has installed the latest update Windows, you are prompted to restart your computer. You can restart a delay of 10 minutes to four hours, but you can also disable it forever. To do this, see:

* Start> type “CMD”, rather than press-Enter, instead press Ctrl + Shift + Enter> Type net stop “Windows Update” to automatically restart.

9. Fast Registration

If concern for the safety and speed that you are the only person using your computer, this may be the idea of applying for a password. To do this, see:

* Start> panel type userpasswords2 ‘> then uncheck the box next to “Users need a username and password to use the equipment.”

For me the only real problem with Windows Vista compatibility with audio and audio-visual products and software. If you have no need for this kind of applications, and that these parameters should be fine with Vista.

This article is for windows exposed by a virus which disable the “Task Manager” virus on the computer. else disable Task Manager virus on the windows also usually turn off the Registry editor (regedit). not only disable the Task Manager, regedit, a virus also disable CMD (Command Promt) because of a program purposely disable all virus to prevent the owner can clean the computer virus. (to prevent a virus, please read the article about simple steps to anticipate virus)

following the steps to overcome the problems:

To enable Task Manager:
1. Click Start -> Run
2. Then just copy-script below …

Reg add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem / v DisableTaskMgr / t REG_DWORD / d 0 / f (written in one line)

3. TaskManager usually can be opened directly, but if TaskManager you can not open, please restart your computer …

To enable Registy Editor (regedit):
1. Click Start -> Run
2. Then just copy-script below:

Reg add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem / v DisableRegistryTools / t REG_DWORD / d 0 / f (written in one line)

3. Restart your computer, if regedit is still not open

To activate the Command Prompt:
1. Click Start -> Run
2. Then just copy-script below:

Reg add HKCUSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftWindowsSystem / v DisableCMD / t REG_DWORD / d 0 / f

solutions are not necessarily 100% able to complete the problems on the computer affected by a virus program. virus programs also sometimes does not turn off all of that. because each virus has a different logic program and a different destination, as well as systems that use the virus. but most of the virus program is disable “Task Manager”, CMD (Command Promt) and Regedit. why? because, using taskManager we can see all the processes running on the computer, and using “Task Manager” usually user computer can turn off the virus process. it is one of the reasons for a virus to disable Task Manager. as well as regedit and CMD both have important roles to make the settings in the windows.

Have a Flash Disk or External Hardisk with the USB cable that suddenly can not be used, may access or disable the messages appear Write-Protected? If you experience this, or you want to disable the use of USB on your computer and restrict access, can try the following tips.
At least there are 2 things that can cause the USB storage media can not be accessed, the first is to disable the access and the second, access to the protection, always showing the message that “The disk is write-protected.” Both can be arranged through the windows registry.
This Disk is Write-Protected
In this case, the cable can still be read, but can not be written or to store data. If it will be used to store the data will show a message like this:
If an incident such as above, then try to follow the tips below:
1. Open the Registry Editor (Start Menu> Run, type: regedit and press enter / click OK)
2. search Key below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ Curren tControlSet \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies

3. If the panel WriteProtect have the right, double click and fill in the data value 0 or delete WriteProtect or can also delete the key StorageDevicePolicies. Then refresh (View> Refresh)
4. Try a loose USB Flash Disk copy the data and repeat
Conversely, to restrict the user’s computer that can not write, copy or move data in flash disk, it can be done with the following tips:
1. Open the Registry Editor (Start Menu> Run, type: regedit and press enter / click OK)
2. Search Key (looks like a folder) the following

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control

3. Create a new key (right-click menu and select New> Key, then name StorageDevicePolicies
4. Then open StorageDevicePolicies key and right click select New> DWORD Value name WriteProtect
5. Double click WriteProtect is, in the value and contents of the data with a value of 1. Click OK
CurrentControlSet addition, conversion must also be key in the ControlSet001, ControlSet002, and so if you have one. So at the check in the following Key:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet001 \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet002 \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies

Once in the set as above, then all users who use a computer can not save, copyng or transfer data to a USB Flash Disk, no need me to restart the computer first. So the message appears write-protected disk as above. Tips can be run on Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
USB Mass Storage not working (Disable)
Sometimes an external storage media such as USB Flash Disk, External hard drives and the like can not be enabled or disable on. If you then try this tip below:
1. Open the Registry Editor (Start Menu> Run, type: regedit and press enter / click OK)
2. search Key below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ UsbStor

3. In the right pane double-click Start, change its content (Value data) with 3 to enable the USB storage, if its 4 then Removable USB mass storage in akan disable.
If the effect is not directly visible, then Restart the computer first. Tips can be implemented in Windows Vista, XP, Windows Server 2008, 2003 and 2000.
