Windows Mobile “less improved” Compared to other Mobile Phone OS
Some surveys show that the market penetration of Windows Mobile seem stagnant. Operating System (OS) of Microsoft is lagging behind its competitors, Apple’s iPhone OS, RIM BlackBerry OS and Google Android.
The latest research data from comScore indicates, Windows Mobile showed a very small increase. In comScore records this year, in May, users of Windows Mobile numbered seven million people. Two months later in July, the number dropped to 6.6 million users. The last survey in October, this platform to get up, but only 7.1 million users to embrace it.
While its competitors, the average has increased number of users during the period from May to October. IPhone OS users record up 50 since May and RIM Blackberry up approximately 20 percent. Newcomer, Android, although its market share is still small but showed a very good development with growth in the number of subscribers by 30 percent. “Windows Mobile is less remembered by the public and consumers rarely buy Windows Mobile-based phones,” said analyst Greg Sterling Market Sterling.
In the smart phone business, consumer enthusiasm of key importance in successful marketing. This market has changed dramatically since the introduction of the iPhone to the public. Mobile OS in smart phone is then used to create the level of competition.
Currently Apple and RIM are still leading the business in this field, both in competition and the device OS. While the popularity of new entrants Android OS, is expected to skyrocket and potentially competing with Apple and RIM.
