Piracy against Apple App Store up to USD450 million
January 17, 2010Apple’s application store is estimated to lose approximately USD450 million since opening in July 2008. Losses due to acts of piracy are widespread in cyberspace.
This was disclosed technology analyst firm 24 / 7, as quoted by the Telegraph, Friday (15/1/2010).
Piracy continues to be a frightening specter for application developers iPhone and iPod Touch. Based on data 148Apps.biz, Apple showed the applications available on AppStore reached approximately 127,632 and has been downloaded nearly three billion downloader.
Of the three billion downloaded applications, 13 to 21 percent is paid application. IPhone and iPod users who modify the handset is a party adverse Apple AppStore.
Because the users iPhone and iPod touch hacking often perform actions on his iPhone with the aim can download and install applications from outside the App Store.
Apple’s own spokesman was reluctant to comment on the losses caused by piracy.
