Microsoft Live Messenger have reached 300 Million Users

Windows Live Messenger’s name is not too flashy name as instant messaging service, compared with Yahoo Messenger. But Live Messenger now starting to increase, with evidence that the number of users reached 300 million.

Supported by Microsoft, the company plans to supply more funds to build a number of projects. Live Messenger is expected to compete with other instant messaging services, which now become their closest competitors, namely AIM.

“People use the messenger as much as 163 billion per-minute per month, and about 9.4 percent of all consumer spending on the Internet around the world,” explained Jeff Kunins, Group Program Manager for Windows Live, told Internet News, Thursday (11/2/2010).

“More than 40 percent of our users in every day or does it mean more than 130 million users every day. And every day, users share more than 1.5 billion conversations and send more than 9 billion messages,” added Kunins.

In addition, according to Kunnis, Live Messenger users to their broader scope now scattered among 76 countries and this service also have 48 languages around the world.
