Microsoft Browser Losing Market Share in Europe

Not good news hit the Internet Explorer (IE). Microsoft’s browser was mentioned has lost market share in Europe. Several European countries that became the main market share IE’s include France, England, and Italy. Analysts rate, this occurs after Microsoft’s demands and the European Commission to give its rival browser options Ballot form a screen to its users.

Reported by Reuters on Tuesday (3/23/2010), some time ago Microsoft has begun implementing Ballot screen that allows consumers to choose the browser that Microsoft’s competitors. Ballot Application of this screen applies to nearly 200 million computers, old and new in Europe.

Based on research by Statcounter, Internet Explorer market share for all web surfing during the months of March decreased by 2.5 percent in France. In the UK, a decrease occurred by one percent and 1.3 percent in Italy.

Unfortunately for Microsoft, but not for Opera. Browser from Norway is to increase the number of double download in Europe thanks to Ballot screen. Triumph also approached Mozilla Firefox is no less significant showing growth after the enactment of Ballot screen.
