Google ‘abandoned’ after Motorola Purchase the Linux company

Software News – Motorola reportedly has bought a Linux company. This step may potentially affect good relations between companies with Google, because as is well known operating system Android be Motorola’s savior from the downturn.

According to sources at Motorola, handset manufacturers have been buying Azingo, maker of the Linux operating system for smartphones that provide phone-based touch screen input, WebKit-based browser features, ability to work with Adobe Systems Flash, and it comes with the SDK.

Azingo is a private company based in India, with offices in Silicon Valley and South Korea. Similarly quoted by the BBC, Friday (5/7/2010).

News of the purchase itself is leaking after an engineer at LinkedIn profile update Azingo who calls his company will be transferred to Motorola, in line with the company’s acquisition of Azigo.

The acquisition was apparently closed in April. Motorola spokesman refused to comment on, he said the company does not comment on rumors and speculation. Significantly, he added that Motorola’s focus on Android.

One industry source described the Azingo team as “hardcore mobile Linux developers” to build and support on any Linux phone.

The acquisition of Motorola’s Own Azingo course should offer more choices in their work with Linux on smart phones are now known to have more capability such as on-board with their own plus a mobile system from Linux.

That means Motorola can reduce reliance on Google. Motorola is the largest mobile phone maker in the U.S. thanks to the success of Android Droid. But according to one report, the company is irritated by Google’s decision to compete against the Droid by presenting his own cell phone called the Nexus One.
