Be careful False Antivirus Start Circulating

San Francisco, The spread of computer viruses rapidly with an average of 10 million computers are infected each month, spurred the growth of antivirus software. But unfortunately, many of the antivirus supply is counterfeit products. The results of a survey conducted by PandaLabs found there were 1000 samples of fake antivirus software in the first quarter of 2008.

Only in the period a year the amount is immediately jumped significantly. In early 2009 the number of antivirus software have grown to 111,000 and continued to rise to number 374,000 in the second quarter of this year.

“We formed a special team to deal with this problem. The makers of a real fake virus is a hacker trick consumers into buying their antivirus creation,” said Technical Director of PandaLabs Luis Corrons, as quoted from CNet, Thursday (30/7/2009).

“But in fact the consumer will be harmed because of the fake anti-virus infects more dangerous. Most antivirus software programs that easily broken Trojans or other viruses,” he added.
Data from PandaLabs further mention, approximately three percent of victims of fake antivirus spent more than $ 50 for an annual license and $ 80 for a lifetime license.
