New iPhone comes – increased fraud

A recent study says, an increasing number of gadgets such as iPhone users have an impact on increasing the number of insurance claims.

Studies conducted mention Supercover Insurance, fraud claims related to the iPhone increased 50 percent during the time the latest iPhone models in the market intensified.

Supercover Insurance estimates, there are four of the 10 people who filed claims during the period. Height of this claim is also coupled with the large number of consumers who buy a new handset models.

Director of Supercover Insurance Carmi Korine says, most consumers choose to use insurance because they know how valuable their iPhone. We found signs that the number of complaints increases with the presence of the latest iPhone.

“In a short period, which coincided with the new iPhone model was launched, the iPhone claims lost, stolen or damaged, increased sharply,” Korine said, as quoted from the Telegraph, Monday (15/2/2010).

This study also found the iPhone is a type of insurance is increasing very rapidly for the gadget sector, with the number of iPhone users by 60 percent over the number of users other gadgets.
