Microsoft will acquire a Mobile Advertising of millennial Media

Mobile Ads – Microsoft apparently did not want to be left to prepare for competition in the realm of mobile advertising. Reportedly, Microsoft will acquire the millennial media.

Quoted by Cellular News, Wednesday (4/21/2010), Microsoft reportedly is in talks to buy mobile advertising network millennial media, mobile ad one of the largest companies to expand in the mobile advertising business.

Rumors were also spread if talks between Microsoft and the millennial been going on since two months ago. Although Microsoft has agreed on the basic terms of the proposed millennial but the final agreement can not be determined.

If this acquisition happen then Microsoft would follow Google and Apple who had already purchased mobile advertising company.

Previously, Google has bought AdMob amounted to USD750 million. Despite having reached an agreement but Google is still awaiting regulatory approval for this acquisition. Following after that, Apple had to buy mobile advertising firm Quattro Wireless at a price USD275 million.

Analysts predict, indeed millennial acquisition is considered not too important to Microsoft. The reason, Microsoft has had its own mobile advertising products, including products with ScreenTonic acquisition in the year 2007.

According to Nielsen data, the millennial been able to reach approximately 80 percent of the total mobile web users in the U.S., while Microsoft coverage for nearly half of the millennial figure.
