WikiLeaks Group Removed by Facebook

Internet News – WikiLeaks, a Swedish-profit web site stated objection to the measures which remove the Facebook group on the social networking site WikiLeaks it. WikiLeaks group numbering approximately 30 thousand Facebookers are not able to access the Facebook page group.

WikiLeaks reveals so via an account on Twitter. When fans tried to open the WikiLeaks fan pages, there is a warning that states, that the page is blocked because it promotes unlawful.

However, confusion arose a new account WikiLeaks fan page that has approximately 500 members and members of the newly launched 13 April 2010 then.

Facebook spokesman said the removal of fan’s WikiLeaks page numbering 30 thousand members was due to a number of reasons.

“We have received several reports that complain about the objectivity of the published comments on that page,” Facebook spokesman said as quoted by News.com, Wednesday (4/21/2010).

Complaints collected by Facebook users and only now, Facebook make firm steps to write off these sites.

WikiLeaks, a nonprofit website, established since 2006, was often in the spotlight. Because these sites often display the secret documents which business and government can lead the debate.

One of the posts that are considered troubling is when WikiLeaks released video footage of U.S. helicopter attack on a group of civilians in Baghdad, Iraq, in 2007, which raises the debate about the conduct of U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
Video footage directly suck up more than 1.3 million people in the YouTube site alone.
