Microsoft Remove Attach Photo feature in Hotmail

Microsoft received a number of protests from the user’s Hotmail email service after the feature ‘attach photo’ removed from the webmail service. Previously, using a feature that users can add pictures, images, or graphics to the email they would send. In addition users can also quickly edit and add captions to the photos, then automatically compressed by Hotmail so that users can attach to more image per email.

This feature is different from ordinary attach files can still walk though here uncompressed images and the user can not edit it first.

“If Microsoft is telling us in advance about the removal of this feature, we will not be too disappointed,” said Carl Creed, a retired IT administrator from Leiston, England, as Our quotes from PC Advisor, August 24, 2009.

Creed and a number of other users protested the Windows Live Help support forum because Microsoft did not give prior warning and make them spend long hours to try to use that feature silently removed.

In the answer in the forum, Microsoft said that they had found about not compatible with Internet Explorer. If used, the feature will cause a security gap when uploading photos.

“We have a Hotmail team was watching this security issue seriously, and we hope to bring back this photo upload feature at the end of next September,” the spokesman wrote. Still, he did not explain the security issues posed because not in accordance with their policies.

Even so, Microsoft step snooze feature until the problem was fixed positive votes by Ben Greenbaum, Senior Research Manager Symantec.
