Internet is a Friend of Life

One out of four Americans feel that the Internet can be a substitute for their spouses. Institution communications consultant Zogby International and 463 Communications in the United States to conduct a survey on the Internet’s role in the life of its users. The results were surprising, the survey says approximately 24 percent of Americans feel that the Internet can be cast out and replace lonely pair for some time.

The highest percentage occurred among singletons. Among those who were themselves (alone), as much as 31 percent of both men and women think the Internet can be a substitute for their lover. Such information is quoted from the Times of India, Saturday (23/1/2010).

“Of course, the Internet can be a friend of my life. Meet and date a girl just a waste of time, and frankly I have little free time to spend on a date,” commented one senior professionals involved in the survey, Shyamanga Barooah.

Furthermore, Shyamanga claimed bored because finding all the girls look the same. That’s why he decided to choose the Internet as a friend of his life.

“I chose the internet to go with my solitude. The parents had no problem with the decision I took,” he added.

Similar to other participants expressed Soma Roy, a student at the end of the National Institute of Fashion Technology. He mentioned that marrying a good person even if only to make him not free.

“The couple lives and their families will ask you to follow this and that, you might not like. Spending time with something that does not live like the Internet is a better choice,” he said.

Social networking sites have become increasingly rampant and loved people in various parts of the world. In the U.S. alone, the majority of its citizens is certain to have an account on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and other social networking sites. Especially for those who are included in the age range 18 to 24 years, eight percent of them seemed obliged to join in social networking.
