Internet addicts in China Rise to 24 million
The number of Internet addicts in China rose to 24 million last year, along with the number of Internet users in the country.
Reporting via Yahoo News, Friday (5/2/2010), according to polls conducted by China Youth Association for Network Development, the number of teenage Internet addicts has doubled compared to the year 2005, and currently known to one of seven teenage Internet users tend to addicted.
This poll involved 7,000 people age six to 29 years, residing in 30 provinces in China, which asked about their surf habits.
Unfortunately, the term opiate Internet itself is still vague. But clearly, these terms will apply if they surf habits have a negative impact on school activities, career and relationships are experienced.
In addition, Internet addiction attitude will be presented with passionate feeling, feeling anxious and depressed if they were forbidden access to the Internet, or even they will feel be happier if their activities in cyberspace rather than the real world.
At least, there are currently 384 million Internet users in China and the opium of the Internet becomes quite worrying in the Great Firewall country.
The survey shows, 15.6 percent of online users aged 18 to 23 years have entered the category addicted.
