IBM – New Business Competitors for Google Webmail

Google challenged by IBM in relation to corporate email services industry. This course as well as a jolt to Google’s webmail service that is often problematic lately.as quoted from Reuters on Friday 2/10/2009, a spokesman for IBM said that they will start selling the service LotusLive IBM’s iNotes next week. Email service that is ‘light’ will be priced at a rate $ 36 per user per year. The price is believed to be 25 percent cheaper than the same services of Google.

Although IBM did not have enough to offer many services and complete such as Google. But IBM believes they are able to attract a percentage of Google’s webmail service users to move to their service. Because, in addition to having experience in Internet technology industry, IBM’s Lotus Notes product is the second largest e-mail program that is widely used by Internet users.

While Google is considered not too serious a business to work on providing corporate email because it was too busy stockpiling coffers from Internet advertising and free search products.

Unfortunately, other than Google, IBM iNotes also received competition from the outside world, namely the Microsoft email service rates charged $ 120.
