Google acquired LabPixies to strengthen Widget

Internet News – Google added another acquired company. This time the company web publishers and mobile application named LabPixies Israeli origin.

LabPixies acquisition represents 67 of the acquired company into Google’s long history. But for this month alone, LabPixies is the fourth company that will acquired by Google.

Unfortunately, quoted by Yahoo News, Wednesday (04/28/2010), Google does not provide detailed information on acquisition cost LabPixies. But according to one daily in Israel, LabPixies worth $ 25 million.

Company based in Tel Aviv, Israel only has 10 employees and often do work closely with Google. One works for Google is LabPixies iGoogle, or better known as Google Personalized Homepage and Google IG, a homepage that can be personalized with access RSS feeds on news, weather, games and other applications at Google.

This acquisition LabPixies iGoogle Google do to take care of in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Even Google is also entitled to the estimated 50 million active members LabPixies uses mini-applications company.
