Foursquare users increasingly Check-Ins exceed 40 Million

Internet News – Location-based networking area, Foursquare claims that the number of check-ins to reach approximately 40 million times in several locations in various parts of the world. This was revealed in a Tweet that are posted in the accounts @ Foursquare developers.

Yet five weeks ago, the total number of check-ins only reached 22 million. This proves that in a month at least Foursquare users continues to rise.

As is known, Foursquare application is now available for handheld devices like the iPhone, Android-based smart phones, Palm and Blackberry. Thus was launched Mashable, Monday (05/10/2010).

Foursquare during this allows users connect with friends or relatives. In addition, the Foursquare offers its users to be able to share their location. Social networking site based service uses GPS capabilities to the smart phone user’s location to indicate where the center is located.

However, some future time, Foursquare will have a new challenger, which is Facebook. The reason these sites made by Mark Zuckerberg plans to add a new feature that has the same function with the Foursquare ie knowing the location of friends.
