Facebook and Zynga ‘approve’ New Agreement

Internet Games – Farmville is one of the most popular games played in the social network Facebook. Too many, to the extent Farmville considered part of Facebook.

Unfortunately, a mutually beneficial relationship began to break down recently, after Facebook announced an agreement with the change of terms a third-party developers, where the policy is to allow Facebook to take 30 percent of its profits there.

This policy will significantly affect the profitability Zynga, which relies on transactions in small amounts from its users when they want to buy accessories complement when playing games.

However, both parties agreed to establish a strategic partnership for another five years to allow Zynga expand the use of virtual currency Facebook (Facebook Credit) in the game.

“In the past three years, tens of millions of Facebook users to play our game every day, from Farmville to the World Cafe and Treasure Isle, and Mafia Wars,” says Mark Pincus, founder and CEO, Zynga, as quoted by the Telegraph, Friday (21/5/2010 ).

According to him, Zynga is very enthusiastic about the proposed long-term commitment and hope that Facebook social networking sites can work together with the whole social game developers to bring the best gaming experience to users around the world.

“We are delighted to present a new agreement with Zynga to enhance the experience for Facebook users who play games Zynga,” added CFO Sheryl Sandberg Facebook.

According to AppData, Zynga now has more than 239 million active users each month on Facebook. Farmville is the most popular games on network Facebook with more than 75 million active users each month.
