February 28, 2010

Facebook finally patented service real-time update his status in the United States (U.S.). This patent allows Facebook to win the competition of social network map.

“News Feed on our social networking services have been around since 2006 and is the best in the history of Facebook because of this technology to change the way people consume and search for information on our web site,” Facebook party said, as quoted by Nine MSN News, Sunday (28 / 2 / 2010).

Facebook sides said they were flattered by the increasing adoption of this news feed to all Internet service providers. Unfortunately, Facebook declined to comment further on the granting of this patent.

Facebook has found a patent would cover methods of displaying news feeds in social networking environment in cyberspace. including comments, links, or anything posted by users of social networking, from and to members of this online community.

Unfortunately, victory in a patent Facebook is not much fun for Twitter users. They think Twitter is more entitled to a patent from Facebook. Even the analysts argue, with this patent victory Facebook has the power to ‘call down’ twittering, to take over the 140 character service.

“Not just took over singing, but also can perform other social networks because it uses this patent. Including MySpace to Google Buzz,” said Rob Enderle, an analyst with Enderle Group in Silicon Valley companies.

Enderle confirmed, Facebook is more worried about Google from Twitter and MySpace. No wonder if Mark Zuckerberg and his friends worked furiously to win this patent.
