Comedy Videos ‘beat’ Online News Video

Internet News – Video featuring scenes of comedy and laughter increasingly hunted by inviting internet users. In fact, these videos have become the current trend of virtual worlds and online news shift.

A survey by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project found that visitors to the site, comedy video site that has increased approximately 60 percent each year.

While videos that display the information the news only increased approximately 16 percent each year. In the United States this year estimated 50 percent of adult Internet users watch videos, comedy, while in 2007 the number of comedy online video viewers only 31 percent.

“Overall, two thirds of internet users are always watching and downloading videos online, even 14 percent of adult Internet visitors often upload videos,” Christian said Purcell, Associate Director of the Pew Research Center’s Internet as reported by the SMH, Saturday (06/05/2010) .

Other segments in addition to comedy and news videos, other videos are the most frequently watched educational videos, and politics.

“However, only seven percent of the overall audience are willing to pay for online video content,” said Purcell.
