15% Page View in English held by Facebook
October 22, 2009Facebook friendship site pocketed 15 percent of total Internet page views in the UK in September 2009. The data revealed by the study conducted by Hitwise, the internet network analysis institution.
According to Hitwise, Facebook is the second site most visited by Internet users in the UK highway. The number one held by the Google search engine.
As our quotes from PC World, October/19/2009, Hitwise also said that Facebook had more page views than the combination of page views of Google, eBay and YouTube.
“During the month of September, Facebook has become the second site most visited after Google. But because users visit more number of pages per visit, it is clear that Facebook has become number one in terms of page views, “said Robin Goad, Hitwise research team leader.
Visits to the Facebook site in September rose 82 percent in the same period last week. Hitwise says his social networking sites is the most popular sites among the UK population. According to Hitwise, holding 49 percent of all visitor of the web to social networking sites.
