Intel Seriously for the Z6 Atom Lincroft processor

Intel officially started seriously working on processors that can be pinned on smart phones, namely Z6 Atom Lincroft. But much of the analysis previously made a face when a chipset named Moorestwon are difficult to develop.

Analysts predict, smart phone vendors already signed up with the chipset manufacturer and are usually hard to let go of that commitment. Moorestown, which is the X86 platform is suitable for tablet or notebook, but not for handhelds.

Intel aims to undermine the position of the ARM in mobile market dominance by immediately launching an Atom chipset from the line that will run on the Android platform, a smart phone operating system that is currently on the rise. Similarly told Cnet, Monday (10/05/2010).

According to these hardware giants, Intel does not want only strong in the PC market, they also want to steal the smart handset market.

The company is promising if the atom embedded in the device, will provide a different Internet experience for users of smartphones.

“In addition to Android, Intel wants to be all smart phone operating system can run on the Atom,” explained General Manager of Intel’s Software and Services Group, Renee James.

Added to him, this chipset brings the classic advantage of Intel products reliable performance in running media and Internet applications are comprehensive and growing, choice of software, and easy multi-tasking capabilities to various applications, including HD video and multi-point video conferencing.
