15 years of the birth of a Opera
Fifteen years ago, two computer scientists sit in front of their desks in a laboratory research (which is now owned by Norwegian telecommunications company, Telenor) and wish to start a new project. They wanted to create a web of their own. Some of their type in the code when it is later to become the Opera, which has a set-and still continue to set as a default-innovate.
Jon von Tetzchner, CEO Opera Software, Geir Ivarsoy and start preparing the original code to a Web desktop this in April 1994. Currently, about 40 million people using Opera on Windows, Mac, Linux and them.
“Geir and I know that the Web will forever change the way we live, work, and have fun. A Web will help a tool that allows the transformation that happens” said Jon von Tetzchner, CEO of Opera. “Today, I feel proud with what has been achieved by this company, together with the Opera user community around the world. In 15 years, billions of people will join the Web. I am sure we will be able to give them more reason to choose Opera. All people have the right to get a good, irrespective of how that is used to connect to the Web.
